The Design Career Selector Test (DCST) is a structured career assessment designed to help students identify which design field best matches their natural thinking style, creativity, and problem-solving approach.
Unlike general creativity tests, this assessment focuses specifically on design-oriented abilities such as visual communication, user-centered thinking, spatial awareness, aesthetics, functionality, and digital interaction.
Through carefully designed real-life questions, the test evaluates a student across multiple design domains and highlights the design careers where they are most likely to succeed.
There are no right or wrong answers. Each option carries a weighted score (1–4 points) based on how strongly it aligns with a particular design domain.
